Say it isn’t so! With it being next to impossible to get your hands on the new console at the moment (or at least it sure looks that way), there may be another way. Waiting for Black Friday/Cyber Monday inventory to hopefully be something possible could be one, or you can simply enter to win one for free! We like the latter option.
Contests are few and far in between until the console becomes more available, but Terrible Herbst (convenience stores that are almost always paired up with Chevron or Standard gas spots) seem to have their hands on one (or at least feel confidant that they will) and are giving it away. In addition to the console, they are also giving away an Xbox Controller or gaming chair (it’s a this or that in the description, so the additional winners may have a choice between the two or it might be at random. The contest (as of the moment of writing this) ends in 43 days. This is what led me to point out that they may be confident in getting one if they don’t already have it since that will lead us past Christmas. By then, hopefully, inventory will be less of a drag all around. Worst-case scenario, they will likely give you a gift card for the MS store so you can get it when it comes in.
