Creative partnered with TGIF to develop a new product that it was showing off at CES 2025. It was the T0 Gaming Chair Speaker System. This is a new approach to surround, building your rear channels directly into the chair you are sitting in.
To be fair, it isn’t the first time we’ve seen any company build speakers into a chair. However, it is the first time we’ve seen someone build speakers that integrate with your main speakers to properly deliver a surround sound experience.

The new speaker system features Creative’s SoundBlaster CMSS3D+ technology and is set to launch in Q2 of this year (2025). It will be made compatible with TGIF’s ergonomic gaming chairs, likely to be sold as a bundle or maybe even an addon kit for those who may already own one of these chairs. Although a bundle would likely be the best outcome of what to expect.

In its current form, it will be limited to TGIF chair models since there are so many types of computer chairs in the market, thus it would be difficult to create a universal system that can simply attach to any. However, while speaking to everyone at CES 2025, we did get the vibe that the company is considering its options as it continues the development of the product. There are no promises and they didn’t confirm a single thing, but agreed that it would be a game-changer if it were possible.

We were able to sit down in the chair and experience a quick demo and the reaction from our team was quite positive. Although it was just a trailer from YouTube, thus stereo-turned-virtual-surround, the idea of using it with one of your favorite games in proper surround would be amazing. It definitely has a lot of potential and has the perfect company backing its design.
Hopefully, we will have a more thorough examination of the chair either next month or in the near future to get a more solid idea of its capabilities. Given a controlled environment and the right content, the experience should be quite immersive.
