Marvel Studios (aka Disney) is currently working to bring back one of the best X-Men animations out there. X-Men The Animated Series is getting a revival next year under the title X-Men ’97. Something that should touch the hearts and attention of many fans of ’90s cartoons.
The new rival will be taking place on Disney+ in the Fall of 2023. The studio shared the news today at Comic-Con International 2022 in San Diego, California. There isn’t an official trailer just yet but they did show us some storyboard animations to offer a small glimpse of things to come (sorry, that content was exclusive and only available at the show).

Some things will be a little different than what fans may remember, but this is because it is taking place right where the original series left off at its end. Professor X had left the planet, so now Magneto will be taking his place as the leader of the X-Men. Something that may sound shocking to some but he was a new man by the end of the (original) series.
What makes everything so much sweeter, Marvel is bringing back the original voices of the characters. It just wouldn’t have properly worked without them (like any reboot of a popular series). So it is nice to see that the studio is going all out to make sure it is worthy of your/our time.
You will have to wait though since (as explained) it won’t be coming out until the Fall of next year (2023). However, it does sound like it will be worth the wait!
