It’s time to nerd out and put your pre-orders in for the extremely long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake, coming to the PlayStation 4 console. You can find links below to reserve yourself a copy of the new game today.
Calling this a long-anticipated game is an understatement as they have been promising for years that they would bring this remake into existence. Now they finally will. However, as crazy as it is for a pre-order, the game won’t be released until March 3rd, 2020. So you can pre-order it now, but you will be waiting nearly a year until you actually get to hold it in your hands–making this one hell of a wait.
They have put a lot of work into making the game what it is and still have a ways to go. They hosted an extended demo at E3 2019 to show off the game’s potential but admitted that they are still working their way towards completion.
Turning this into the success that the original was is not going to be easy since they completely changed the game’s genre from the normal turn-based RPG it used to be. For now, all we can do is hope that it will draw us in just as well as it had before.

Final Fantasy VIII Remake
Here we won’t be getting our hands on VII for a while still, and they are already jumping at the opportunity to release a remake for VIII as well.
Where VII is dedicated to the PS4, the new Final Fantasy VIII remake will be coming to the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC as well, and it will be doing so before the launch of VII. An interesting move, although looking at the trailer they have shared thus far, it seems the graphics haven’t taken the same leap as VII pushes for.
Regardless, you will have the chance of playing VIII in all of its glory, with closer to modern graphics compared to the original game. No release date has been shared just yet, but they said it will be coming sometime later this year. For now, you can check out this trailer:
