Pwnage has a new mouse coming your way and it isn’t the plastic mouse solution you may be used to. The new gaming mouse is actually made out of magnesium alloy, rocks an airy design, and is completely wireless so you don’t have anything tethering to it that might be hindering your movements.
Magnesium is actually around 33% lighter than aluminum, making the mouse only 51g in weight. Although it is not as strong as aluminum, it is still a strong metal alloy that shouldn’t be a problem unless you find yourself pounding your mouse with your fist after you rage quite your favorite games.
It comes with an adjustable sensor than can be moved forward to back to meet your personal preference. As well as customizable feet (PTFE or glass). It makes use of sorted Omron switches, a PAW 3395 sensor (up to 26,000 DPI), and a dedicated (2,000Hz) receiver that can be placed close to the mouse.
You can find it in two different common colors (white and black) with some limited edition colors as well. One of which can be seen in the image above (red). There is also an olive, mint, blue and gray (limited) option while they last.
The color also determines the price. The standard colors will run you $169 where the limited edition colors increase the price a little to $179. The magnesium also plays into the price some since it is more expensive than aluminum.
Really, the only thing in the specs we could frown at was that it has a 120 hour battery life. Mostly because we are battery snobs when it comes to having to charge a device frequently or once in a while. Once you come across something like Logitech’s M705 mouse (around 2-3 years of battery life)(see our review here), it is hard to consider 120 hours. That being said, Logitech’s doesn’t offer the polling rate that this one has to offer.
It seems to be just making its way to retailers, so it may not pop up in places like Amazon just yet. But it will likely do so in the near future. At the time of writing this, it wasn’t yet available on the company’s Amazon store page. It is available on the company’s website though for the time being.
