In order to make their services more appealing for those worried about the cost of everything, online streaming services have been leaning toward ad-supported versions of their subscriptions more than ever. The next one to join this approach being HBO Max.
Of course, this practice isn’t new as HULU has been doing it for quite some time now. However, it has since become more of a trend with many companies offering this as a “cheaper” option and an additional approach toward making their normal subscriptions appear to have more value.
Paramount+ was one of the most recent to apply this method to their subscription options. Given, the company had already practiced this approach with CBS All Access (which has become Paramount+). Now, HBO Max is the next to take on this approach by offering the same two-tier selection–one with “limited” commercials, one without.
Remember when “paying” for TV always meant getting rid of the commercials when cable companies first started to compete with OTA, kind of like SiriusXM is to radio now? (full disclosure, this could be a trick question because this was mostly before my time as well).
Sometime this year, HBO plans to roll out a more affordable ad-supported subscription tier to help draw additional users in. They promised “limited” advertising like the rest, while also limiting the tier from having access to certain major releases (another ploy to promote the more expensive tier).
The current price for HBO Max is $14.99 (which makes options like Pramount+ and Disney+ seem quite attractive at their lower price tags) and there is no word yet on how much the new tier will run.

‘fullfilled by amazon’. page says new, prime, 2 day ship and still does. actual delivery 10 days. order set of 4 alloy rc car wheels.Have ordered many wheels from other vendors. only used this vendor as it was listed as new outlet for more trusted vendor . I do wonder that its amazon internal, not the vendors. One amazon vendor i contacted gave me discounts to buy thru their website direct. this here was an act of meanness by someone, a person did this. what was in this bag was literal junk.in time for Christmas Mr. Grinch. incredibly what arrived, in an amazon bag was a clear see thru bag like mentioned here ‘ready to ship’ printed on it. visible inside 2 rotting foam blocks with 4 assembled wheels stuck in the blocks.(new wheels are shipped unassembled ,hardware in a bag) it looks dirty so put on gloves and open bag. All 4 wheels where fully assembled, but with wrong hardware that literaly was sticking out because wrong thread.all wheel threaded holes likely ruined. possibly the wheel itself was glued back together when whomever could not make screws work. it had the looks of junk from a junkpile hastily glued together. all 4 are badly scratched. 2 had large amounts of old dried masking tape on them.all 4 covered in unknown filth that shows possible mold/chemical activity. 1 of the beadlock rings has 3 screws missing and 1 screw is broken off in the wheel. the wheel was deformed from screws being torn aound like when someone stands or jumps on the wheel, or maybe throwing the wheel at a floor or wall real real hard. the whole mess is photgraphed and it all goes back prime return as recieved while we query both amazon and injora about this example of blatant theft with insuft of sending unusable broken junk before Christmas vs just refund our money, say the item was not really in stock, and remove the fraudulant ad which is still there saying new sets of wheels on prime. Maybe even offer some product free of charge. This is egregious. Is amazon looking the other way as literal broken junk visibly broken is bagged in clear baggies marked ‘ready to ship’ and sent as new? I pray for your broken souls. Our Christmas is not ruined here in whoville but shame on you, Grinch. We are out far more than the cost of bits of shiny stuff. Myself, I read Victor Frankel’s Mans Search for Meaning. They can’t take my soul. They dont work for or shop on amazon. If an amazon worker did this, I forgive you.
