It seems everyone is throwing in discounts, sneak peeks, and freebies as a way to lure in new subscribers and hold onto the ones they already have. Just like T-Mobile Tuesdays or Microsoft Xbox Live free games every month, Amazon has been handing out random perks to its Prime subscribers. Of course, Amazon Prime is already a great deal if you do a lot of shopping on Amazon or find yourself interested in the movie and music streaming options they have to offer. As long as the price remains where it is, it is a must-have for many and will always remain strong. Regardless, it isn’t enough for Amazon as they show off their rivals with additional features, and the latest is an early screening of the new Jumanji movie before it hits theaters for the general public on December 20th.
Subscribers of Amazon Prime will have the option of buying as many as 10 tickets each to the December 8th screening that will take place throughout the country. Although it isn’t a “freebie” this round, it is an opportunity to see the movie before your friends do–or if you are a nice friend, invite them along.
If you’re a Prime member and are interested, you can visit their page here (link removed/offline) to buy the tickets and read up on how it all works. If you are not a Prime member, then sadly you will not have access to this opportunity (unless of course, you signed up now).
As for a little on “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”, it is the latest remake of a popular movie, only they took a different route this time. Instead of a typical remake trying to mimic its original in whole, they twisted the story around. Instead of kids coming across a mysterious game that broke loose into the world, these high school kids are instead sucked into the game itself where they find themselves in the avatar bodies of the characters they were playing (played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan). From there they set off on an adventure to try to beat the game and make it back to the real world.
It’s going to be hard for them to one-up the amazing performance put on by Robin Williams in the original movie, but here is your chance to get an early look and form your own opinion on how they did. You can watch the trailer for the new movie here:
