It looks like Amazon has been struck with several issues with its overall website and services (ie, AWS) as it faces outages, broken links, and other troubles that are preventing users from browsing or making use of everything.
Reports have been pouring in via services like DownDetector, with thousands of users complaining about not being able to access the website, not being able to log in, or not being able to access various features or services.

The reports seem to have suddenly occurred around 11:00 AM PST and quickly started growing. Customers report not being able to check out, or not being able to even get into their cart to begin the checkout phase. Some reports mention the website, while others point out troubles with the Amazon shopping app. There are even reports that people can’t access specific product pages or even the site overall.
A quick investigation into other domains and services revealed that Amazon AWS was suffering from similar reports.
In our own attempts to find anything wrong with the website, the only issue we could track was that the “Your Lists” feature within the “Accounts & Lists” menu was missing (the menu shortcut to get to your wishlists). Lists could still be accessed from the main account settings page, though. So your miles might vary when it comes to what issues you run into (if at all). It could be small, or it could be a complete epic failure until things are fixed.
Amazon seems to be aware of the issues, releasing various apologies to the press and social platforms. The company has been actively working to bring things back online and to determine the cause.
Of course, since the outages began, many rumors started surfacing about current world news and any possible relation to the outages. This isn’t confirmed, nor is there any proof suggesting this. So, more than likely, it will end up being a troubled update that was rolled out by the company or something else technical that is much less dramatic.
