Chipolo has suffered a few slight setbacks when it comes to the ONE Point trackers that support the Google Find My Device network, including some delays caused by needed firmware updates that were waiting on certain standard updates by both Google and Apple.
Some time has gone by since then, and Google’s network has been spreading as new devices enter the scene. It’s still a slow growth for now, but the growth is still there nonetheless. Hopefully, by the end of the year, Google’s network will be that much closer to matching Apple’s, which still holds the lead.
In the meantime, it appears that Chipolo might still be experiencing some setbacks when it comes to addressing some of its orders. With some orders via retailers like Amazon taking up to a month or longer to ship–even though the product is being sold by Chipolo but “shipped by Amazon”, showing that Chipolo may not be able to produce enough stock for Amazon warehouses.
Some of this could have a lot to do with a recent sale, which saw a price as low as $14.99 per tracker last month that likely resulted in a sudden influx of sales. Something like that can put additional strain on a company. However, a single sale/promotion would rarely detour orders as much as a month or more unless things become back-ordered due to supply chain troubles, QC issues, and so on.
If you find that you are affected by such delays or backorders, you can try reaching out to the customer support department of the platform you purchased them through in case there is something they are able to look into.
