Over the last few years there have been a few candidates who came and went that offered great social media discussion/posting tools for bloggers and social media nuts around the world (both professional and personal). Two of the most popular were Ping.fm and HelloTXT. Both of them offered extensive posting options that allowed you to share your post across a vast number of platforms. Including blogs, social networks and message message boards. They supported everything from Twitter and Facebook to small sites few have heard of but are growing such as Plurk.
Unfortunately they shut down. Ping.fm was acquired by Seesmic and they now charge people for a service that in no way compares to the free service offered by Ping.fm. HelloTXT also closed in 2012 leaving everyone dry and out of luck.
In the thick smoke a new figure has risen. It’s name is “Composer.io”.
Composer.io looks to pick up that torch and run with it providing users with a new tool to submit to their social services with. Providing a very simple, user-friendly interface, they are beginning to grow into the next big thing. As they grow with more users every day, they will be expanding and rolling out additional services to submit to. As of today they support Blogger, Facebook (and Facebook Pages), Identi.ca, Linkedin, Plurk, Tumblr, Twitter and WordPress.
Check em out! You can even vote for the services you think should be added next!
