Amazon has been rolling out all sorts of Black Friday specials a bit early as stores try to get the most out of the popular shopping window. One of the latest hot ticket items is a limited deal offered to certain Amazon Prime subscribers, involving the Echo Dot speakers.
Specifically, the company is offering the Echo Dot Third-Gen Speaker to select subscribers for only $1 using the promo code “PRIMEANNIV”. Making for one of the best deals possible for the Echo Dot. However, you won’t be able to take advantage of it unless you get an email from Amazon inviting you to the sale. Without the email, you won’t be able to make use of the code.
There is no telling how Amazon is choosing customers for the special or why it has specifically chosen the third-generation model. Likely, the company is trying to clear out stock as it probably has too many third-gen models in stock. It has also been focusing on the latest Dot models, pushing forward to promote some of the new features being rolled out (like the ability to extend your network or support for the new Matter protocol).
