Elon Musk is well known for his crazy promises when it comes to the various things that Tesla vehicles can or “will eventually” be able to support. From perfect full self-driving capabilities that just never came to be to saying the Cybertruck is bulletproof while swinging a sledgehammer at it during a live reveal/show (which caused a bit more damage than he was expecting).
One of these demonstrations, Elon also took a small steel ball to the side window of the truck. This ball also did a lot more damage than the Tesla CEO was hoping for. Making for a humorous event for everyone attending or watching online.
Needless to say, the company still had a lot of work to do in order to make the Cybertruck as bulletproof as he claimed it would be. Of course, it isn’t really completely bulletproof, but it is pretty durable compared to most vehicles out there. In fact, in order to prove this, some owners have been taking to their own tests to see if the company improved on these previous weaknesses.
One of these is a YouTuber known as TechRax, who decided to do his own test of the steel ball to the window. In fact, they chucked both a baseball and a steel ball to see what happened. Clearly, he has too much money to be doing this without any worries of repercussions. But thankfully for him, his test went pleasantly well.
So try not to grimace too hard or look away as he performs his test and you will see the results yourself in the following video. I still don’t recommend trying this yourself and can’t believe he was willing to do it. But here you go:
