No surprise here, as Microsoft has set the ball in motion to end production and sales of the original Xbox One consoles. Originally released nearly four years ago (November 2013), the original console will be quickly living in the shadow of the Xbox One X when it arrives later this year, and the Xbox One S already surpasses its abilities as is. So there is no point in keeping the original around when consumers can get the One S for less and get more from it. November of this year will mark the launch of the new Xbox One X,…

We had to take a moment to reflect back on a hard drive dock and duplicator/cloner we tested out last year–the EZ-Dock 3 by Kingwin. A simple to use device that works both via USB and can also duplicate on its own, without any connectivity to a PC. It came back into the spotlight this week when we did a number of hard drive swaps, duplications, tests, formats, and more. Things have been a little crazy around here as of late. In the process of all of this, we broke out some of the devices (docks) we have tested both…

Now, in our last story, we just got through with bragging about an 8TB hard drive from Seagate, and how it works out to be an excellent backup solution. However, Western Digital (WD) has announced the release of a 20TB external solution for desktop computers, that more than doubles that of the Seagate. Of course you have to consider the fact that most consumers either wouldn’t be able to afford something like this or simply just wouldn’t have enough data to put on it. However, it doesn’t change the fact that 20TB of capacity is pretty cool, and a lot…

Whoa doggy, do we have something fun to look at today! Well, technically we have been looking at it for a week now, but today is where we get to share with you our impression of a hard drive that carries a very generous amount of space. Today we are talking about Seagate’s Expansion 8TB (External) USB 3.0 Hard Drive (HDD). The average consumer has been favoring 3-4TB drives for external backup scenarios for quite some time now, based on average sales around the globe. However, as internal drives begin to grow in capacity by default in newer desktops and laptops,…

This has got to be the largest electronic device I have ever reviewed. Aiwa calls its new X15 a Portable Bluetooth Audio System, but that’s just one of the many features in this very loud, professional styled, home Public Address(PA) speaker. My family has been having a lot of fun helping me review the various features so let’s dive right into it: This unit has Line In, SD Card, Micro SD Card(TF), USB, Bluetooth, FM Radio, 1/4 inch Microphone input and 1/4 inch Guitar input, Stereo RCA jack Aux In, Stereo Line Out, as well as 2 included UHF wireless…

Microsoft has finally begun the pre-order madness for the upcoming Xbox One X console that launches later this year (November 7th). The pre-order will get you a limited “Scorpio Edition”, that celebrates the code name the project has been hidden behind all this time until the console’s true name was announced at E3 in June, which has also become the name of the engine inside of the console. The limited edition console will feature a 1TB hard drive, an exclusive vertical stand (in case you want to stand it vertically instead of the typical flat orientation), an all black controller,…

We have covered many of the units that Azulle has introduced into the market, providing miniaturized Windows 10 PC solutions for those in need of a minimal footprint. Some small stand-alone units that take up less space than your average external hard drive, to even smaller solutions that slide into the small space behind a TV that has been hung flat against a wall. Now, Azulle gets ready to launch the latest in their Byte lineup, the Byte 3. Releasing on August 28, 2017, is yet another mini PC that sits flat on a desk or shelf, and delivers a working…

Sit back and relax as you work your way through another analysis of one of the many options in the headphone market, the Sbode Wireless Bluetooth Headphones. We get the pleasure to once again be paid for playing with music, and life doesn’t get any better than that (let’s just say that’s true for the sake of the story at least). This is currently their only (first) pair of over-ear Bluetooth headphones to hit the market, leaving them without a model name–just simply, the Sbode Bluetooth Headphones. The practice of keeping it simple I guess, and simple they are. You’ll…

Microsoft researchers have developed remote control glider known as a sailplane, that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to control its own flight. They tested it in the desert of Hawthorne Nevada, where the glider took flight successfully, as researchers followed behind in a jeep, tracking its progress. The software on board analyzes its flight data to predict things like thermal currents, which are natural occurrences of rising air due to heat. By taking advantage of these conditions, the plane can chart the best course possible to stay in the air, without any need of a motor. The idea, to soar like…

SSDs have been taking over the market, especially with the increase in popularity for NVMe solutions. Because of this, SSD has taken a pretty large spotlight in the news, including the amount of stories we have covered recently in regards to external SSD solutions. Now, Samsung adds new models to the table as well with the release of their new T5 Portable SSDs. They support USB 3.1 (Gen 2) and promise transfer speeds of up to 540MB/s (read/write). The new drives feature Samsung’s latest 64-layer V-NAND technology that allows them to accomplish these faster speeds with, and makes some of…
