Wow. That’s what I’ll say about my first ride out of the box with the Cool&Fun SS-K02 400-watt electric skateboard. This bad boy is constructed with a 35 inch long 11 layer maple/fiberglass deck, has a really nice panther graphic in the grip tape on top, and a really easy-to-operate 3-speed hand control with a wrist strap. This rocking skateboard has a 12 months warranty and a 3 months warranty on the accessories. Let’s look in the box!

In The Box
The entire package comes in a good-sized retail box. I opened the box to pull out the skateboard, the board charging wall wart, the handheld controller, a velvet cinch bag for the controller, and the included USB controller charging cable. You will also find the SS-K02 User’s Manual sitting next to what I can only describe as a well-thought-out
toolset including a Trucks wrench and an Allen key. As usual, my first move was to get everything attached to their specific charging systems. The entire system takes about 3 hours to charge with an approximate range of 10 miles per ride. Push the power buttons on both devices and you’re off. Top speed of 20mph in pro mode and a weight limit of 265 pounds will bring fun to anyone’s life. I live at the edge of Las Vegas and personal electric vehicles like this have a hard time with the hills here. With 3 speeds up to 20mph (And reverse!)I was easily able to run around my neighborhood while switching between power levels as needed. The ride modes change from Pro to expert, to eco, and finally beginner. I was switching between pro and expert mode a lot on the hills in my area and the responsive control works great and when you want to cut or climb a hill, bump the power button on the control. The LEDs on the control indicate your speed level and remaining battery power once paired to the board. These LEDs will even tell you if your ride is going backward or forward in case you get lost doing 180s in a parking lot. The braking modes are fully adjustable just as are the speed modes. Simply by holding the throttle in the brake position and choosing between a Hard brake, a strong brake, a medium brake, and finally gentle braking. The strong brake can send you flying so be careful. The control charges with an included USB cable which is a battery saver and real convenience. Enough to go shopping in an urban area. Unlike other electric skateboards, I’ve ridden over the last 20 years the cool and fun electric skateboard is really, really fast and the battery lasts long enough for a good hour of play, or travel. This skateboard has more playtime, but less speed, on the eco or beginner modes. A word of warning: Some electric boards require a push to get the board to start going. Not so with the Cool&Fun. If you have the board paired to the control it will go whether there is a body on top or not. Without a body, it goes FAST. The board is really responsive yet very stable at high speeds and 20 mph on a skateboard is really exciting. I’d even say it is Cool&Fun.
Final Thoughts
The Cool&Fun SS-K02 electric skateboard is a well-constructed, well-thought-out personal urban transportation device. With fully adjustable performance modes up to 20 mph, and full adjustable braking modes you can easily and quickly dial in your daily ride. The board comes pre-set up with
tight trucks but with the included toolset so you can adjust the trucks for a really personalized daily commute. You can easily cruise at the eco level then instantly adjust the performance mode to climb hills or go through rough terrain like grass or dirt. The ten-mile range gives one the ability to get around town and have a lot of fun while doing it. Over the next few months, I will make excuses to ride this extremely fun and powerful Urban monster until I kill the battery, and then I will install a new battery. Thanks for a great item in this still crazy time. The Cool&Fun SS-K02 electric skateboard’s only flaw is that you can go from 0-20 mph by accident with no one on the board and that’s crazy dangerous. 9.0 out of 10.

I appreciate how you detailed the features like the top speed and battery life. I’m wondering, though, how durable is the board in terms of wear and tear for daily use? Would it handle rough terrain well?
