Looking for a cheap easy solution for a small 32-inch LED TV? The Samsung 32-inch 720p 60Hz LED HDTV UN32EH4003) might be one of the best solutions you will find. Keep in mind, this is a very simple solution (so this review will be pretty quick).
The picture quality is very good being just a 720p TV. Since the screen is only 32 inches, you are not going to notice a whole lot of difference switching to 1080 anyways (unless you’re a videophile). The quality is comparable to most 60Hz TVs on the market today and it helps that it is Samsung as they are well known for quality.
The sound is mediocre due to it being a “simple solution” for a cheap/quick TV to be added somewhere in your house (or office). It doesn’t offer an output solution for sound, so the built-in speakers is what you get. As long as loud/detailed sound isn’t a requirement of yours, you are fine with small/basic sound or plan to hang it in an office and use it just for video playback (slideshows, muted videos and the sort)…this would be a great solution.
The inputs on the back are average, with 1x Coax (cable), 2x HDMI and 1x RCA/RGB (shared). So don’t plan on hooking up too many devices. Again, this is a simple solution and only 32 inches, so there is little chance anyone is going to be using a TV like this with multiple devices. These inputs should be more than sufficient.
It also offers a USB port on the back so you can plug in a thumb drive. The TV offers what is called “ConnectShare” which lets you watch videos, play music, or view photos from such USB connection without needing to use a PC or special equipment. Simply plug your USB device or drive directly into the TV’s USB port.
This TV does “not” have internet connectivity so you won’t be able to stream anything from a PC or have access to any apps. Again…simple TV.
The price tag at Amazon at the moment is a low $239 (shown after you add it to your cart), and if the sale ends, it will most likely be back soon. You can also buy it used there for $179-$200 on average. This is especially nice if it is going to be used in a professional environment as you can load up on TV’s to be displayed all over without breaking the budget.

Clear Motion Rate of 60
Experience sharp picture quality, even when you are watching fast-moving images like sports or action movies. Clear Motion Rate was developed to accurately measure how well an LCD or LED TV can depict fast-moving images. Previously, motion-clarity was calculated by the frame refresh rate alone. But CMR offers a more complete measure by calculating 3 factors: frame refresh rate, image processor speed and backlight technology. LED TVs with a CMR of 60 -120 can display action-packed movement with sharp detail and vivid contrast while eliminating image distortion.
Wide Color Enhancer Plus
Wide Color Enhancer Plus allows you to see picture color the way the director originally intended. Witness the entire RGB spectrum brought to life on your screen to bring you exceptionally vibrant, yet natural-looking images faithful to the director’s original intent.
ENERGY STAR V 5.3 Compliant
Go green and save the planet. This Samsung TV not only meets ENERGY STAR requirements; it exceeds them. This means:
• More energy savings
• Lower utility bills
• Leaving a smaller carbon footprint on the environment
• See energystar.gov for more information
ConnectShare™ Movie
ConnectShare Movie lets you watch videos, play music or view photos from a USB connection without needing to use a PC or special equipment. Simply plug your USB device or drive directly into your Samsung TV’s USB port and watch on the big screen with friends and family.
HDMI Get superior picture and sound from your HD source. The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a digital connection that can transmit HD video and audio over a single cable. Use it to optimize the image quality when you connect your TV to high-definition sources such as HD cable TV, satellite receiver or Blu-ray player.
Conclusion
Again, this is a TV that someone would randomly want to throw into a small room, kitchen or corner somewhere where a TV would be helpful to have, but isn’t considered the room’s focus. Our rating weighs in at a 7.5/10 since the price tag is the most important feature of this product that we are focusing on. It falls within the same price range as generic off-brand TV’s but with the quality and name of Samsung. That’s like paying for a stripped down Kia and getting a Toyota instead (given, still stripped down).

I wanted to add to this myself by pointing that I personally (outside of the office) own the 40″ version of this TV. Same series, same specs (720, 60hz, no audio out, no internet, etc). I use it in room used for fitness and a small PC/office area. As Jeff pointed out, for a “misc” TV, I love it. I didn’t need a major audible presence in the room. Just a TV for background noise (OTA), news, P90X dvds, etc. Even on the 40″, 720p is perfect. I have never thought to myself “this TV would do so much better at 1080”. At the price, these really are a good buy. Keep in mind though, like he said, you have to accept that the audio on the TV is all you will get (so don’t buy it for a living/great room or media den).
