The ability to capture more than one or two subjects with a mobile-friendly mic kit has mostly evaded the industry until the last year or so. Typically, these kits limit the user due to the typical single or dual-channel receiver. But thanks to companies like Saramonic, this isn’t the case any longer. With the new Saramonic Blink500T4 4-Channel Wireless Lavalier Microphone System, users can capture up to four users at the same time.
This is thanks to the push toward 2.4GHz over using individual frequencies for each channel. Allowing companies to combine everything into one chipset (minimizing hardware requirements), digitizing the experience, and preventing others from causing hits to your channels (interference). The end result is a much smaller light-weight solution that can be filled with features while keeping within an affordable cost.
Four channel mobile RF kits are still new to the world, so there aren’t a lot to choose from just yet. but the options you have to pick from are far from entry-level. The new Saramonic kit sounds great, comes with almost everything you could ever need to make use of it, and features an MSRP of just $249.
Check out our video coverage and review of it right here in the following video where we break down the benefits and demo it so you can get a feel for how the new kit sounds.
