WordPress has released another update to their popular blogging software, fixing a number of security concerns that popped up.
The security issues fixed involve XSS (cross site scripting) and a user access level glitch (allowed normal users to see posts that might have been only viewable to admin level authors).
WordPress has also included updates which improve WordPress’ general security by means such as adding an option to admin that allows forcing of HTML filtering on comment text and a hardened check_admin_referer().
So for all of you hardcore bloggers who love WordPress as much as we do, remember to upgrade your platform to the newest release through their automatic updates system. Always make sure to stay on top to minimize security concerns and maximize platoform stability.
Meanwhile, WordPress is inching ever closer to releasing WordPress 3.1. Currently it is in beta release 4.
