Both Black Friday and Cyber Monday offered a doozy of all kinds of specials being offered both on and offline by all of your favorite store fronts. This was also one of the best moments to jump on an Amazon Echo device at a discounted price, allowing you to get your hands on one for as low as only $29.99 (Echo Dot). Both the previous generation devices and the new ones that were released this Fall, fell in price marking one of the biggest Echo rushes this year.
If you missed these sales, you aren’t out of luck as the prices are still at these great values. You have options like the Echo Dot for $29.99, or the new Echo for just $79.99. There are also a variety of bundles that include Philips Hue bulbs, as well as other options.
To make things even sweeter, Amazon is offering (through December 31st, 2017) the option of adding on a TP-Link Smart Plug (model HS100) onto your order for only $5. The smart plug typically sells for around $22.99-$39.99 normally, making this a steal for what they are asking. It can be controlled via voice using your Echo device to turn your plugged in devices on and off. You can also control it via a free app, where you can create schedules for the plug to turn on and off however you need it to, or use its “Away-Mode” so that it will simulate someone being home (you would use this typically if you have lights plugged into it).
The bundle applies to a number of Echo devices including the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Plus or Echo Spot. The fact that the Dot is in the mix means that you don’t have to spend a lot to score the bundle pricing.
In order to take advantage of this offer, you simply have to browse for the Echo device you would like to buy (Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Plus or Echo Spot). Before adding it to your cart, scroll down slightly to find a deal just below the main description, marked “Special holiday offer!”. Here you can click on the button “Add both to Cart”, and the discounts will be applied during checkout.
This marks a great opportunity for either adding some new tech to your home or scoring a great gift for a friend or family member this holiday season. Personally, I too jumped on the bundle to get my Grandparents started with something for their home. I know my Grandmother will spend hours giggling at the Echo as she discovers odd things to ask it (driving my Grandfather nuts).
