Mini projectors have been taking off as the world moved away from the terrible “pico” projector phase and into a true phase of miniature models that actually put on a decent performance. Enough of a performance that made people want to jump at buying into one of these devices. Anker’s Nebula Astro Mini Portable Projector is one of those smaller models that actually led to a fascinating image (and for a decent price).
Now, that projector is going for $100 less (using the coupon “ASTRO240“), bringing the cost of it to just $179. Not bad when you consider the fact that it is truly portable thanks to a built-in rechargeable battery. It’s capable of providing up to 2.5 hours worth of watch-time and an image of up to 100-inches, allowing you to easily make it through a movie anywhere you point it. Great for kids as it has parental controls, and it offers Android built-in (that being said, it is Android 7.1, which means it is behind a few versions of the OS and can’t be upgraded any further). It does give you access to all of your favorite streaming options, like Netflix and Disney+.
Like any other (normal) projector, it does have an HDMI input on the back as well, so it an be connected to a physical device like a DVD/BR player or video game console. It can also be plugged in, in case you plan to use it for longer durations.
It doesn’t stand up to something like the Halo+ from XGIMI, but the price is right for what you get. So it is just $179 with coupon code “ASTRO240” (remember to enter that code during checkout) while it lasts. Feel free to share in the comments below if you wind up scoring one.
