When it comes to security, you can never be too safe. Especially, when you are lugging around an expensive piece of equipment. Or in this case, an expensive instrument. BenjiLock and TKL Products Corp are coming together to make traveling with your favorite musical instruments safer through the use of biometrics.
The companies are doing this by integrating biometric locks from BenjiLock into TDK’s instrument cases, allowing users to control access to these cases using recorded fingerprint data. Making it easier and faster to access the contents inside without worrying about carrying a key around with you.
These locks will also be TSA-friendly, allowing TSA agents to be able to freely access the case without having to damage anything or having to reach out to the owner for assistance (the latter of which we all know never really happens).
This will be a great combination for professionals, students, and enthusiasts alike. Allowing them to feel safe when traveling with this gear while not worrying about where their keys are. Making travel a little less inconvenient.
The companies were showing off the new partnership at NAMM 2023 this month. You’ll likely see these products roll out sometime in the near future. It will include hardshell, molded, and soft case options to pick from.
