Scosche announced their new member of the boomBOTTLE speaker family, the boomBOTTLE Plus at CES this year. We had the opportunity to speak to them for a quick highlight on what to expect. The boomBOTTLE series is targeted to the outdoor enthusiasts looking for a rugged speaker that can hold up to the extra wear. The new Plus comes with some added features to enhance this capability.
- IP67 rated making it water and dust proof as well as buoyant so that it can float in water if dropped (or thrown, tossed, flipped or slam dunked [gently]into your favorite body of water).
- 6000mah battery allowing not only 10 or more hours of sound, but you can also hook up your mobile device for a charge if your phone begins to run out of juice.
- Mountable via a 1/4″ thread on the bottom using a tripod or mount solution.
The boomBOTTLE Plus can also connect to other units for stereo sound and comes with an indoor/outdoor EQ for appropriate volume adjustments.
At the moment we do not have one to play with, so we can’t bring you a hands-on review and field test, but we can say that it looks pretty cool from what we have seen thus far.
