Recently we got in the new VanTop Moment 5C 4K Action Camera that should be launching here shortly into the world. Due to the recent events around the world brought on by the coronavirus, its entrance into the world seems to have been stunted as China goes through the unfortunate trials created by the outbreak. This has set back many products throughout the world as factories and companies were forced to close their doors until they could safely resume operation.
Thankfully, it seems things are slowly returning to normal in parts of China as they get a handle on things, allowing citizens to return to work, and product roadmaps to resume activity. Through this, it appears the Moment 5C is one of these since we got our hands on one and get to share it with you.
We have been taking the new camera around capturing footage (full review is coming soon), and on one of our trips, we decided to cruise the Las Vegas Strip to see what it looks like here during the COVID-19 shutdown of one of the largest industries in the world. Where normally you would find thousands of people walking the sidewalks and pathways, as well as a sea of cars and taxis–instead you find an eerie emptiness as everything remains closed during the quarantine. At times you’ll find a person or two enjoying their solitude as they focus on their morning jog through this rare opportunity of open space. However, there isn’t much more than that outside of law enforcement and security working hard to keep things safe. Other than our vehicles, there wasn’t much traffic on the road either as people mostly remain indoors waiting things out.
The world’s first demo footage of the Moment 5C Action Camera:
Configured at 4K@60 and EIS (electronic image stabilization) enabled. If it doesn’t automatically show in 4K for you, use the settings/config wheel it at the lower right corner of the video to adjust resolution manually.
We will have more footage available shortly once the full review roles out, demonstrating various features of the new camera, so stay tuned.
