There’s not much to contest if you say that Samsung SmartThings is one of the most popular smart hubs for your home right now. With other brands still catching up and a few others who seem to have fallen back a bit when it comes to keeping up with the industry, SmartThings has continued to leap ahead and grow through 3rd party integrations and versatility.
Now they have one more integration coming soon, and that’s with Mercedes-Benz. SmartThings will integrate with their MBUX Voice Assistant (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) allowing you to control the various devices around your home, from your car. The whole process is quite similar to using Alexa or Google Assistant.
Examples:
“Hey Mercedes, did I forget to turn off my lights at home?”
“Hey Mercedes, is anyone at home?”
You’ll be able to control your doors, thermostat, lights, and more by using your voice. At first, this is going to roll out with the new 2021 S-Class and eventually grow to other models. This is part of Samsung’s efforts to expand support for its platform within the automobile industry.
