Creality has introduced a new option into the laser engraving/cutting community with its new Falcon A1 Pro 20W Laser Engraver & Cutter. Potentially, a powerful player in a list of names that have been pushing hard to make access to these machines more affordable to consumers.
The new Falcon A1 Pro offers several features that could make it appealing to the community of enthusiasts and professionals. Including the ability to move up to 600mm/s and dual laser modules (20W blue & 2W IR) to allow it to be used with a long list of materials (wood, leather, acrylic, metal, and more) that can easily be swapped between by simply detaching a cable and pressing down on a lever to release the currently installed module. As well as a built-in camera for “smart positioning” and monitoring.
It is promising a friendly experience using the app that is supposed to allow the user to quickly set everything up and begin the job, while also being able to monitor it in real-time (via the camera). As well as desktop software for a more advanced experience. It also has a touch screen that extends from its side, allowing you to control some aspects from there as well as monitor its progress towards completion.
The bed surface area is 358mm x 268mm, providing a decent space for various sizes of projects, and the machine does support batch processing as well. The latter allows the user to spread smaller projects around the surface area to be processed all at once.
As with most machines, it does support certain failsafe functions, such as flame detection, that will instantly stop the current job and alert the user via the app. This is an important function of any laser machine to help prevent major accidents/situations (and a must-have if you were buying into one).
There is an early bird special running that takes a decent amount off of its MSRP price ($1,099), allowing users to pick one up for $769.30 via the company’s website. This is considered a pre-sale, and it is supposed to kick off today (Aug 5th, 2025). Currently, at the time of writing this, the website doesn’t seem to have any in stock as it still says “Notify Me” where the pre-order/purchase button is supposed to exist. Either that, or Creality simply hasn’t kicked off sales just yet and plans to do so later in the day. Regardless, that’s the link to get your hands on the deal when it is ready.
