Creative recently announced the new Creative Zen Hybrid. An affordable pair of wireless headphones with hybrid active noise canceling and up to 37 hours of battery life. The new model is targeted at general listeners looking for affordable access to such features without sacrificing quality.
The Zen Hybrid headphones feature 40mm Neodymium drivers, a lightweight foldable design, and are SXFI compatible. The hybrid active noise canceling allows for the cancellation of up to 95% of surrounding ambient noise, allowing the user to focus on their music and not the distractions around them. They also feature ambient mode that allows you to do the opposite, bringing in the sound around you as you listen so that you can respond to dangers or conversations without ever taking them off.
As for battery life, the “up to 37 hours” is simply standby mode and changes depending on if ANC is enabled or not. It only takes around 5 minutes of fast-charging to get around 5 hours of listening time in, so they can juice back up quite quickly (2-3 hours for a full charge).
The MSRP is only $98.99. placing the at a great price point. We haven’t listened to them ourselves, but we have quite enjoyed many if not most of the models coming from Creative. So there is a good chance that they won’t disappoint. They are available now, making their way to retail locations both on and offline that carry Creative products.
