Wouldn’t it be cool if you didn’t have to bounce around through all of your streaming apps to find what you want to watch next? Or remember which app has the series you are looking for? We ran into an interesting company CES 2020 that allows you to do just this. The name of the company, Dabbby.
Dabby allows you to immediatly access and search all of your favorite subscribed channels of streamable content in one place. This includes Netflix, Disney+, HULU, HBO, Showtime, Stars, and more. It turns everything into one giant media center that can be easily searched and narrowed down. It even allows you to search free services like Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and so on. Literally, if it is online (premium options you, of course, need a subscription with to include), you can find it.
It includes a small tablet that acts as your controller and search screen, reserving your TV for just the content. This way you can freely search without interrupting what is currently playing on the screen. That is of course until you choose something else. It can also be used to search related content.
To make things better, it allows for voice search and supports unique terms that can narrow things down to a single clip of something. For example, when we interviewed them at Pepcom 2020 (Digital Experience Las Vegas), Balaji Krishnan (Founder and CEO) simply said “show me the scene in Avengers where Thanos snaps his fingers”, and it took him right to a clip on Youtube of just that, in Avengers Infinity Wars.
Literally, it doesn’t get any easier than this! You also don’t have to wait too long to get your hands on one (depending on your definition of time, and what infinity stones you might have in your possession). They are shipping the initial models out to Kickstarter supporters in March (2020), and any pre-orders now will be shipping sometime in April.
