Dangbai is officially revving its engines for the launch of its latest projector that seeks to disrupt the affordable side of the 4K projection industry. Making sure to add its name to the list of some of the most discussed brands out there, thanks to the new Dangbai MP1 Max 4K triple laser + LED (hybrid) projector.
This new hybrid model comes with a long list of features that allow it to comfortably compete with popular names like XGIMI, while introducing some additional features that allow it to stand out. Including HDMI 2.1 support, 3100 ISO lumens (brightness), and a 360-degree rotatable stand/base.
It features Google TV as its OS (operating system), which opens the doors to all of your favorite streaming options, including Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, Hulu, and more. Also, thanks to Google TV on board and the required hardware to back the features up, this model offers users a complete suite of auto-calibration features. This means you gain features like auto focus, keystone, and object-avoidance. This allows for an incredibly user-friendly setup.
In addition to all of this, having Google TV and a properly supported remote also means your remote supports voice-driven commands. Easily allowing you to navigate apps and menus using your voice. Making it a quick experience to find some of your favorite shows or content within seconds.
Due to its support for HDMI 2.1 (and Google TV on board), it also supports all of the latest video and audio formats, including Dolby Atmos/Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, DTS Virtual:X, and more. The only modern feature that appears to be missing is IMAX Enhanced support (unless we missed something in the listed specs), but this is hit or miss with many projectors.
It offers a total of two HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC), allowing you to plug in more than just one device, as well as your typical USB for various files. It supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and even offers an analog 3.5mm input.
The new projector will be landing soon on its website, as well as on Amazon. You should be able to find it listed within its Amazon storefront shortly. The predicted price point is around $1,899 based on certain rumors going around (which would make for a fair position for this model), but this price can always change once the company announces it.
