We haven’t spoken about Deity in what feels like quite a while now, but the company has a little something allowing it to come out of the woodwork for some newly added attention. A new digital wireless mic system for mobile setups that packs a few interesting features worth noting that it was showing off at NAB 2023 this month.
It is the upcoming Deity Theos digital wireless dual mic kit with your standard two transmitters and single (dual-channel) receiver. Great for various camera setups or even using your favorite mobile devices (ie, smartphone).
This new kit offers a nice wide range of UHF frequencies to pick from, spanning 550 to 960MHz. Allowing you plenty of wiggle room with the obvious legal exclusions (the frequency groups you’re not allowed to touch in your region). While also carrying the ability to automatically switch to recommended frequencies ranges based on your location thanks to the included app (Sidus Audio). So if you switch countries, the app will recommend new frequencies based on the laws of that country/region.
Not only that, but it does feature the ability to scan for open frequencies so you don’t have to bring a scanner with you everywhere you go.
Of course, this kit comes with a slew of other options, including up to 14 hours of battery life thanks to built-in li-ion batteries, the ability to record on-board the transmitters up to 32-bit audio (using SD cards), durable aluminum bodies/materials (including swappable antennas), and more.
The new wireless kit will be launching soon, but we don’t have an exact date or MSRP at this time from the company. If we wind up getting our hands on one of these kits, we’ll make sure to let you know what we find.
