ESCORT launches the new Redline 360c radar detector

Just a few months ago we had had the opportunity to take Escort’s MAX 360c detector out for a test, resulting in a very positive outcome based on how well it performed on the road. It was a fantastic model that outperformed anything else that we have tested. It brought with it a long list of features, helping to set the bar for expectations within the industry.

Now, they are pushing that bar a little further with the launch of their new Redline 360c radar detector. Basically, take the already fantastic Redline series and combine it with everything that makes the MAX 360c amazing, and this is what you get. It also looks like something you’d find in a nice sci-fi movie–I think the X-wing starfighters should come with these pre-installed for the next Star Wars film (you can never be too safe during your galactic surfing experiences).

Sci-fi jokes aside, the new detector is promising “extreme-range detection” for all of your familiar bands, along with multi-layer false alert filtering, a must-have with all of the self-driving and other IVT-equipped vehicles on the road. Of course, you have connectivity to your phone using the Escort Live app that keeps it updated with the latest database of red-light camera and speed trap locations, as well as to help protect you from community reported spots as well.

So if the MAX 360c wasn’t enough to impress you with, maybe the Redline 360c will win you over. Of course, with the MAX 360c being as expensive as it is and this model packing a more modern collection of hardware inside, the MSRP will sure have an effect on your wallet. The launch price is $749, which might make a lot of people yipe as they read this. So this model won’t be for everyone. However, if you find yourself getting more tickets than the average person, the cost might not look so bad (not that we’d ever promote continued actions that would normally result in a ticket).
