EZCast has launched an enhanced version of its Beam projector into the world, adding to the list of affordable options available to those on a budget. This is the new EZCast Beam H3 Projector. Looking like a decent option for kids schooling or employees working from home, the new projector is a 1080p option with a mild lumen output (200 lumens), which makes it ideal for spreadsheets, graphs, digital textbooks, and other non-cinematic content.
The company says it will output to as much as 150-inches on a wall or screen while offering a decent list of features. Some of these features include 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, micro SD slot. 3.5mm audio-out, cast support, OTA updates, Bluetooth (built-in speakers), and more.
It is currently available and working its way to retailers now that carry EZCast products. The MSRP is $169. However, they are running a launch price of $135, making it far more worth the buy.
At $135 it should do a good job at competing with what’s out there. However, at full MSRP, it begins to enter dangerous waters with similarly priced options in the market like GooDee’s BL98, which offer brighter/larger images and usually falls into a sale price within this range all the time (given, the BL98 does lack some of the wireless options that EZCast’s model has to offer).
