Furby is a creation both loved and shunned by many for so many years and Hasbro hasn’t given up on it yet. Next month, Hasbro will be releasing the new Furby Connect exclusively on Amazon. The new Furby comes with its own app and can connect to smart devices via Bluetooth.
It will (currently) support Android devices including Amazon’s Fire tablet series. There is no mention yet on if there are any plans to expand to iOS or Windows users. The app will allow Furby to interact with kids as they explore music, videos and more with each other. It contains more than 1,000 phrases and has the ability to learn more with updates.
Furby features LCD displays as eyes and can perform over 150 animations for a unique experience. It also comes with a face mask so you can easily put it to sleep so it doesn’t bother anyone.
At the moment, the Furby Connect can be found available for pre-order on Amazon and will start shipping around July 12.
Personally, every time I think about Furby, the first thing that comes to mind was a video someone made a long time ago showing a Furby getting demolished by what appears to be a high powered laser of sorts. It was pretty fun back then and still is today, but everyone has their own opinions.
