Reports have been coming in that Google Nest Hub users have been experiencing some troubles with a recent firmware update. This update is causing some Nest Hub models to become bricked (unusable). Forcing users to take to the web.
Stories have been spreading via multiple social platforms, all pointing to the same update that went out a few days ago (Friday). Causing these models to become stuck within a reboot loop that prevents it from being able to finish the last 1% of the installation.
As of right now, it seems the only action you can take is reaching out to Google for support. The more users that reach out to the company, the likelier it will be to seek a quick solution. In the meantime, users have taken to many paths of troubleshooting without any luck.
Resettings the devices to factory settings and other techniques lead right back into the update, outside of a few instances where there have been those who claimed a factory reset worked for them after clearing the caches in their app during the process.
We haven’t experienced this issue ourselves yet, but if we do (and if we find a solution), we will make sure to come back with what we find.
