Hisense is showing off its new L9Q TriChroma Laser TV at CES 2025 in Las Vegas this week. It is the company’s latest UST (ultra short-throw) projector that uses its TriChroma triple-laser light engine and features a list of competitive specs to make it an enticing purchase.
It supports screen sizes between 100″ and 150″ and will provide up to 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, which means it should be able to produce an image that can be seen clearly, even with the lights on. It is capable of reaching 110% of the BT.2020 color space and offers a 5,000:1 contrast ratio.
Hisense is adopting various features like AutoScreen Alignment (although keystone correction seems to still be manual only) and the ability to quickly switch between common screen sizes for ALR screen products. With the idea that it will aid the user in setting everything up.
The company says that the projector supports a built-in 6.2.2 surround experience using Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X. While also supporting eARC so that you can make use of your favorite AVR (receiver) instead, allowing the user to tap into a much larger sound experience.
It makes use of Google TV for its operating system and voice assistant (Google Assistant), allowing the user to access all of their favorite streaming apps. It also comes with HDMI 2.1 and Wi-Fi 6E support, keeping connectivity modern for all of the latest formats.
No launch date or price point has been announced by Hisense yet, but I don’t see why it would have any issue launching by this summer at the latest, given the specs. You can likely expect to see a price point of around $5,000 based on the history of its flagships and we will likely be talking with the company at the show in just a few days (video content to come).
