HyperX announced today that they have begun to ship their new CloudX Revolver Gears of War headset to stores and online outlets. The new headset features a custom crimson design centered around the Gears of War series and supports both the Xbox One and gaming computers. Really, anything with a 3.5mm input for a gaming headset that combines stereo and mic into one input will support the new headset.
It also includes a 2-meter extension cable to gain some distance if needed, which will be perfect for PC scenarios.
The new design follows the design of the Gears of War edition Xbox One S console as well as the limited edition controller, giving you quite the bloody balance to your gaming experience to show off to your friends with.
HyperX stated that the new headset was a cross design between them and Microsoft, who also fully tested and approved of what they are referring to as “studio-grade” audio performance.
It features a detachable noise-canceling microphone to help eliminate the bleed from the muffs to the microphone (which can cause echo in cheaper headsets) and distraction caused by other sounds in your environment. When detached, they can be used as regular headphones for both the console, computer or any device with your typical 3.5mm headphone input.
They opted for a steel frame for durability and a solid design. Kind of sounds like what V-Moda is popular for.
Currently, the new Gears of War headset is only available at GameStop.
