Tesla has had a decently solid grip on the solar market when it comes to solar roof tiles. Despite being a lot more expensive compared to regular solar panels (since you are technically buying into a new roof at the same time), the company hasn’t had a lot of competition for this exact use case. At least, until now, due to companies like Jackery, which are moving in,
We took a moment to speak with Jackery at CES 2025 in Las Vegas to find a little information on the new products the company is looking to expand into, including the first “curved” solar roof tile, which allows a user to build out a system that looks more like a traditional tile roof (compared to the flat tiles that Tesla uses).
Jackery says that the new tiles are incredibly durable (around 10 lbs each), allowing them to sustain extreme weather situations like hail, snow, or high winds (as well as extreme temperatures). They will feature a cell conversion efficiency of >25%, will be able to generate around 170W per square meter, and are modular in design so that the installation can easily be custom to most roof layouts while also making maintenance easier.
These tiles will be backed with a 30-year warranty (most companies offer somewhere between 20-30 years). It is estimated to be competitively priced when compared to companies like Tesla.

Of course, solar tiles weren’t the only thing Jackery had to show off. It also has the entire system (the Complete Home Power Hub) to go with it, including a stackable battery system that is similar to Anker’s, an inverter, and a HomePower Hub that allows for up to 200A pass-through. Covering just about any consumer’s needs, even if they want to be able to function off-grid.
The stackable batteries include options between 7.7 kWh and 15.4 kWh (per unit) and can be stacked as much as eight high per inverter. Allowing for a max of 123.2 kWh per inverter. Delivering enough emergency backup power for up to a week’s worth of use.
There is no exact price information just yet, but the company does plan to roll things out in Q3 of 2025. It will be working with various installers/companies who will be in charge of selling and installing the product. Jackery is a company that specializes in battery solutions, including portable solar power stations. Its consumer products can be found via retailers like Amazon.
