LG isn’t the only company in town with electric floor-rising displays. For projection fans, Elite Screens has a new series of projection screens out called “Kestrel Tab-Tension 3” which rise up from the depths of your floor as well.
The new projection screens are available in a number of sizes, including 125-inches, 133-inches, and 150-inches (all 16:9 ratio). Making for a great option for users that aren’t interested in putting holes in their ceiling for a roof-mounted alternative, or simply don’t have a ceiling to mount from (where the screen will exist). These floor models simply need to rest on the ground and will take care of the rest.
They feature Elite Screens’ CineWhite X 1.2 Gain front projection material with black-backing to prevent any light from bleeding through. The back-side of the screen is supported by cross spring risers while the sides are supported by the tab-tension system.
It can raise and lower via remote and has both an IR and RF receiver built-in with controls, as well as a 12v trigger so that it can respond (up or down) to the power state of the projector. All in all, it’s a pretty slick-sounding product. Elite Screens is one of our favorite brands when it comes to projection, which is why every screen we have on-site bears the name.
A price tag does come with it though. It has an MSRP of $2,639.00 – $4,239.00, depending on the size of screen you’re after. So it will be limited to those with a budget who can spend this kind of money comfortably, as well as business use. However, they absolutely have a niche that it waiting around to jump on getting one.
At the moment, they are making their way around to certain retailers. So we don’t have any direct links to share just yet. However, we have provided links below to Elite Screens’ store sections of a few options where they will eventually pop up.
