LG has announced their new model in their TONE series headphones, the LG TONE Active. Starting today, the new headset will be available exclusively through AT&T stores and website until the it launches to the general market in October for $129.00. The AT&T model will be a limited edition orange.
The TONE Active is an IPX3 rated water resistant model that protects it from sweat during the most active workouts. It should even wick away the mildest of rain if you enjoy running in odd weather like I do. A neat feature is something that began with their Infinim model, where the earbuds retract back into the body of the headset, adding to the comfort of being around your neck while not in use.
The new model is expected to provide a surprising range for music listening and a strong focus on the higher frequencies to enhance voice communications while making phone calls. It supports the latest Bluetooth 4.1 standard and can connect to any Bluetooth-enabled device within a 33ft distance.
Its internal battery will provide up to 13 hours of talk time or 9.5 hours of music listening, making it perfect for any day at work, on the road or during the longest of workouts.
