Microsoft has announced that they have plans to discuss the release of new Xbox One accessories and bundle options at the upcoming Gamescon event in Europe next month. You can expect things like new controller designs to quite possibly a new Xbox One X bundle with additional storage (we can hope), maybe even a more affordable bundle for those still sitting on the trigger to buy one once the price comes down a little.
There has been a number of rumors going around that Microsoft might even announce a new console entirely due to an original tweet made by Microsoft, but this was since debunked slightly when Microsoft clarified that they were referring a new possible bundle option when it came to their mention of new hardware. That being said, Microsoft is currently hard at work on their new console that is set to release in 2020, as well as another that will have a solid focus on streaming (only). You can bet the hardware inside next gen console is going to take on the Xbox One X, which only gives us additional hope on where the One X will go from here.
Microsoft seems to be pushing full speed ahead on trying to provide a streaming solution for all Xbox One consoles and more. This can easily give Microsoft a decent nudge in the race with Sony if it is delivered correctly. For now, we are stuck with leaks and hints on what’s to come. So don’t be surprised if you hear more about it at Gamescon next month. However, it is also kind of early, so they might not be ready just yet for this kind of exposure. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
