Movo has launched a new desktop microphone (UM300) that offers a smaller approach to the company’s UM700 and what it hopes to be a direct competitor to the Blue Yeti Nano. This new microphone looks like it would be a great option for users looking to get into podcasting or streaming whose budget rests somewhere between the $60-$80 range.
The company is calling it a “travel-size” solution for some of these uses, or you can just consider it as a mic that takes up a smaller footprint on your clean desk space. Either way, it looks to be about half the size or so of the UM700.
It comes with familiar features found in many USB desktop options within this price range and higher, including the ability to switch between polar patterns (cardioid and omnidirectional) and built-in headphone monitoring with volume control.
The bottom side of the microphone contains a 3.5mm out for your headphones as well as a USB-C connection, allowing you to connect it to any computer or laptop device, as well as mobile devices as well since they include both a USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. It, of course, also comes with a nifty desktop stand as well.
MSRP is $69.95 this round and the microphone is available right now. For more information, you can check out one of the links/buttons below.
