MSI has a lot of new products on display this year at CES 2023 (Las Vegas, NV), which is no surprise. The company always delivers a unique experience every year. When I stopped by today, it was a sole focus on laptops this round as the company was still setting up some of its other displays. However, there was no loss in experience as there was a lot to see, including its new flagship MiniLED laptop, which I’ll get to in a short moment.
There were quite a few laptops on display, including models from MSI’s Cyborg, Raider, Stealth, Titan, Creator, and more. You’ll find everything from RGB everything, neatly places MSI logos (including within fan grates), impressive cooling features, and more. All sporting the latest 13th Gen Intel processors.
The Creator Z16 HX Studio and Z17 HX Studio (seen in the main image of this article, above) feature the MSI Pen 2, which offers a graphite pen tip that functions as both a stylus for the laptop screen as well as a pencil when used with paper (one pen to rule it all). The laptop looks to be a powerful solution for creative professionals features up to an i9 processor with RTX 4070 graphics.
MSI also had a virtual surround sound experience (dubbed Nahimic Easy Surround) using any Bluetooth speaker you might have laying around. Resulting in up to a 6-channel experience by placing the Bluetooth speaker behind you. The company demoed this to show how it worked and it sounded pretty good. Clearly, you’d want to use a solid speaker for the best range/effect, but definitely something new to experience and easy to pack along when traveling.
The Raider GE78 HX features an awesome built-in Smart Touchpad that allows the user to use and create custom shortcuts to some of their most common actions, along with a touch-sensitive volume slider. Located to the right of the touchpad, it’s almost like having a Stream Deck built into your laptop. Of course, it doesn’t compare quite as well to that, but it comes close. It also sports up to an NVIDIA RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, a 17″ QHD display, and other commendable specs worth buying into.
Of course, what everyone is talking about this round is the company’s new Titan GT77 HX laptop. This is one of the company’s new flagship model with 17.3″ 4K MiniLED display. This display features a 144Hz refresh and DisplayHDR 1000 certification (that means it can get pretty bright!). It also offer 1,008 local dimming zones and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
It can be found with up to an Intel i9-13980HX processor and NVIDIA RTX 4090 Laptop GPU. Boasting as much as 250W total power between the CPU and GPU. Making for one powerful system.

This model also offers a Cherry MX Mechanical Per-Key RGB Gaming Keyboard by SteelSeries, offering plenty of customization. Along with two speakers + two small woofers by Dynaudio, Thunderbolt 4, PCIe Gen.5 NVMe SSD, DDR5 memory, and the ability to connect to two simultaneous Wi-Fi connections for a boost in speed.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was jealous. I wouldn’t mind having one of these sitting in front of me while away from the desk.
More to come…
This wasn’t the only thing MSI had on display this year and we will make attempt to stop by again for some of the other exciting news the company has to offer surrounding some of the products it has to announce this year. Including an EV charger, some new router solutions, and more.
