Mushkin has announced the release of their new Helix-L line of PCIe NVMe SSD drives into the market, for computers and laptops. The new M.2 2280 SSDs provide what looks to be a great mid-level NVMe solution for systems, not exactly matching the speed of some of the flagships already available out there, while also outperforming the entry-level NVMe options that typically fall within the 1GB/s range.
The new drives feature read speeds of up to 2,110MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,700MB/s, delivering performance around 4x the speed of a normal SATA SSDs. They are available in three capacity options and feature reasonable pricing that places them among the best prices out there for NVMe, right at the start of their launch. A smart move by Mushkin.
