Chad Hawk spends some time (video below) to tell us about “myris” by eyeLock, a new biometric access management system for computers, used to control access to applications, websites and more. It works by identifying you by your irises to grant you access to whatever you have it associated to.
The company claims that there is a one in 1.5 million chance of it reading a false positive, increasing the security of your system. It connects to your computer via USB and walks you through setting up your profile. It uses live video to identify you so there is less processing time and you quickly get to what you are trying to access.
The myris device is available now online at places like Best Buy.
