Nanoleaf has rolled another Matter-enabled product into the market with the holidays in mind (compatible via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Matter over Wi-Fi). The new Nanoleaf Matter Smart Holiday String Lights will be available in a pack of two 10m (nearly 33ft) strands. Totaling 250 addressable LEDs that can be fully controlled via the Nanoleaf app and whatever compatible Matter/Thread-enabled hub you pair them to (Alexa, HomeKit?, SmartThings, etc).
The lights are full RGB with over 16 million colors to choose from and IP44 water-resistant. Thus they can be used both indoors and outside. Lighting up your Christmas tree, general lighting throughout the home, and all around the outside of it. They will also support the Razer Chroma software, like most of Nanoleaf’s products. Allowing you to bring everything together from your PC’s lighting scheme.
If they are anything like Nanoleaf’s other products, the app will give you the most flexibility when controlling the lights using various animations and effects. The company includes a number of holiday-themed animations to pick from as well. The hub will likely give you basic control over colors more than anything else, with the most friendly control being the ability to power them on and off however needed.
They are currently available for pre-order via the company’s website for an MSRP of $119.99. So, like all of Nanoleafs products, it will come at a premium cost compared to your normal basic LED holiday lights. They will begin shipping around the middle of this month (October).
