Netflix offers offline downloads for Windows PCs

Netflix has announced the ability to download content for offline streaming on PCs using it’s Windows 10 app. This feature was originally introduced into the mobile market for iOS and Android users last year.

The new features currently only supports desktop systems using the app and will not work with Windows 10 mobile devices just yet. However, since Netflix’s app is based on Microsoft’s UWP (Universal Windows Platform), there is probably a strong chance that this will change soon.

Downloadable content is limited to select original Netflix series and movies due to “who has rights to what,” yet you still have a wide selection of media to choose from. Once you have found a supported item that interests you, simply click on the download icon and your off. This will be perfect when the next season of Stranger Things releases later this Halloween.

You can also search content based on what is downloadable and all of your content can be found in the main menu under “My Downloads”.
