Plex launched a new “Dash” app this month that serves as your eyes and ears for everything going on within your media server. It allows you to remotely monitor various stats both past and current (live), from anywhere in the world.
This is especially helpful if you grant access to friends and family and want to keep on top of their usage, let it be for the purposes of bandwidth monitoring, determining if they even bother using it at all, if you feel they might be sharing their login with others, or if you just like playing big brother.
You can monitor top lists of movies, music, and more while keeping an eye on system resources and bandwidth. See what is currently being streamed to various users, their watch and search history charts (big brother…), server logs, and more.
It is filled with various analytics to help you stay on top of things and make sure everything is working the way it should. You can find the new app within both the iOS and Android app stores for your mobile devices. Simply search your app store for “Plex Dash’.
