PNY has launched a new product into one of its SD lineups, with the new 1TB PRO Elite SDXC Card. Quite fitting since they already have a 1TB microSD model that launched a few months ago with similar specs, the new card hardens this UHS-I SDXC line with plenty of capacity to satisfy the needs of hungrier devices.
As mentioned, the specs are identical to its microSD counterpart, delivering read/write speeds of 100MB/s and 90MB/s. Along with it, the hefty price as well. The new SD card carries an MSRP of $210 (the microSD model being $230).
Given the specs, the card would be great for just about any point-and-shoot camera on the market, as well as a majority number of DSLR options depending on the level of resolution and compression being written to the card.
Of course, something like 4K+ at 400Mbps will still require UHS-II cards. However, if capacity is the only thing you are worried about vs higher resolution saves, then this card is an easy sell.
It will be making its way to stores as of today.
