Renpho is a company that has grown a lot over the years. They got their start with foot massagers and have since been working their way into the smart home through fitness devices like body scales and measuring solutions. Most recently, the company has been developing fitness bikes as well and intends to bring many of the devices together under one app (including a smart foot/calf massager).
These bikes look pretty good though. Thus they became a focus on our interview with the company at CES 2022. Renpho already launched its original AI Smart Bike last year and it is currently running for just $499. A decent price for a smart bike with a connected app. Not only that, but the app has content, training, and other features without a single paid subscription to worry about. A smart move in a market filled with annoying subscription costs.
Renpho also decided not to provide a built-in screen, opting to let the user make use of any personal tablet (or phone) instead. This helps to keep the price down so that the bike would look more appealing to those not wanting to spend thousands of dollars on a all-inclusive device from some of these other companies (like Peloton).
This year (Q2/2022), the company will be launching an improved “Pro” version of the bike for slightly more that has an nicer design to it and improving on certain features. Both of these models were on display at the show and looked fantastic. Not only that, but they weren’t over-sized, allowing them to fit in the same space as any of your smaller models out there.
It will be interesting as we learn more about the new model when it rolls out In the meantime, you can check out the interview in the below video.
