Roborock showed off its upcoming flagship robotic vacuum and literally took the show thanks to the number of features it has to offer. Not only does the company hold onto using LiDAR in its products, but it also makes use of 3D mapping camera technology to bolster its game. Not to mention the cleaning bin that does just about everything.
This model comes with the “RockDock Ultra”, the company’s most inclusive docking system that does more than just empty the robot’s dust bin at the end of a clean. It also removes dirty water, filters it, and replaces it with clean water so that the robot can continue where it left off with little to no interaction from the user. Obviously, eventually the user will have to replace the supply in the docking system, but this reduces the amount of times one has to interact with the system. It even wipes and dries the robot.
The robot makes use of a dual-brush design with 6000 Pa suction for more thorough cleaning on the dirt side of things, while making use of sonic vibrations on the mop side for an added clean there as well. It can lift one or the other out of the way as it transitions on and off carpeted areas so that carpets (or rugs) don’t get wet while also having the ability to only mop and skip vacuuming hard surfaces if you just want it to mop.
Using the combination of both LiDAR and camera tech, it maps its environment like any other modern robot vacuum while also taking advantage of a database of learned objects to avoid. Object like shoes, socks, toys, and even those unfortunate presents left by dog.
There is a lot going on with this model, making it one of the most all-inclusive robot vacuums on the market. Of course, with that comes the premium price tag as it will retail for around $1600. Therefore, it won’t be for just anyone. However, if you find yourself spending a lot of time cleaning up after your children and pets, this could be a life saver when it comes to scoring some personal time back.
It will be launching into the market this April. Roborock products can be found via Amazon or Best Buy.
