Samsung is gearing up to launch its new flagship gaming monitor this month (just a few weeks from now), sporting some of the greatest specs you can currently find. The new Samsung 57″ Odyssey Neo G9 is a beast of a monitor that will be one of the biggest gaming monitors on the market to date.
It features a MiniLED panel with a 7680 x 2160 resolution (32:9), which is the equivalent of having two 4K monitors side by side. As well as a 240Hz refresh rate, 1,000,000:1 contrast, HDR 1000 certification, and a 1000R curve.
Not only that, but it will also feature Samsung’s Smart Hub, which will give it native access to a number of TV/movie content streaming solutions, just like your favorite smart TVs. As well as cloud gaming solutions like Xbox and more. Turning it into a hybrid TV/gaming monitor.
It will officially be launching on August 23rd. No product page is up yet and no price has been shared by the company, but (current) speculation puts it at $2,500-$2,999 range. Thus it won’t be a monitor that just anyone will be jumping to get their hands on. It will be a niche purchase for only those most serious with what they want. Not only that, but the price could always be higher.
For those looking for something a little easier on the budget, the slightly smaller Samsung 49″ Odyssey Neo G9 DQHD monitor is currently $1,499 on the company’s website. Although its specs aren’t as impressive as the new 59″ monster, it still has what it takes to rock your gaming (or productive) world.
