Samsung is launching one of its latest monsters with its new 98” Class Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN990C TV. It is a Quantum Matrix Pro Mini LED TV that features stunning picture quality and a heart-stopping price tag. Proving to be the largest 8K TV out there for consumers and likely not the first from the company within this size or greater as it continues to evolve the technology.
That, and proving to be a model that only the elite 2% will be interested in. All due to its $39,999.99 price tag. That’s right, this TV will cost you $40K if you want something to brag to your friends with. A price that most consumers would much rather spend on something like a new car or home remodel. But, I’m sure there will be a few individuals out there that just have to have it.

The TV is capable of upscaling images to 8K, which is a given since there is next to no 8K content out there outside of some demo videos on YouTube. It accomplishes this using its “Neural Quantum Processor”. It also features built-in Dolby Atmos support using speaker holes at the side and rear (although, you’ll still want to connect it to a proper system for the best sound).
Onboard, you’ll also find Samsung’s updated interface that includes its gaming hub. The gaming hub features the ability to stream games from multiple cloud sources, including Xbox Game Pass, Luna, GeForce Now, and more.
It offers an anti-glare screen with “ultra” wide viewing angles so that you’ll experience a crisp image no matter which direction you are watching from. And it features refresh speeds of up to 120Hz using its “Motion Xcelerator Turbo+”.
The TV has been launched on Samsung’s website here, but currently says that you need to sign up for stock notifications. So the company may not be 100% ready to ship just yet. But this will likely be the only source of buying into it if you decided you needed one for your wall. The company likely won’t sell enough of these to position themselves on retail shelves (online or offline).
